Thanks to our client at 1010 W. Rundger #26, we have a delicious new recipe for you! This Marinated Salmon Dish sounds truly delicious.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb salmon fillet (preferably skinned)
- 1/2 cup miso or more
- Cooking sake/wine (add to miso to make slightly thick pureed texture)
- 2 onions sliced
- 4 medium size potatoes, sliced
- 1-2 tbsp Olive oil (or your choice of oil)
- Some butter
Directions:
Combine miso and cooking sake/wine till the mixture form pureed texture. Spread a thin layer of the sauce at the bottom of a container, place salmon fillet and spread another layer of miso sauce over. Repeat till all salmon pieces are covered. Place the container in a refrigerator for a few hours.
Heat the oil in a pan and sautee sliced onions/potatoes till onions turn tender look and potatoes begin to turn light brown (7-10 minutes) under medium heat.
Add marinated salmon on top of sauteed onions/potatoes, cover, and cook another 15-20 minutes or until salmon is cooked.
Add a dab of butter over salmon right before ready to eat; this brings up a nice flavor.
NOTE: Onions/potatoes can be increased (or decreased) and miso mixture can be adjusted according to one’s taste. All amounts are approximate.
