Our team motto is Love Your Neighbor. One of the ways we do this is by sponsoring the Helping hands of Belton Spring Food Drive in our neighborhood. Each time we do it, I’m awed at the generosity of our neighbors and our community.
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. 3And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” – Matthew 22:37-40
As a group we collected 612 pounds of food and products for Helping Hands. This is only possible with the help and support of our neighbors. They are truly a giving community and with their help we are able to help other families in our community make it through difficult times.
We are so blessed to call Belton home and love being able to work alongside others to help build a better community.
If you know of any way to get involved, please do so! If we each find a way to give back to our communities, then we are affecting change at a local, grassroots level and meeting the needs of our community in a way that is best for our neighbors!
