Located in-between Waco and Georgetown, Belton is a small city with a lot of big extras. It is the home of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Enjoy football games with the hometown team in the fall and enjoy the small town feel of this community. Downtown features a riverwalk area and lots of hometown eateries. There are also lots of weekend events that take place at the Belton Expo Center on IH35 and Loop 121.
Shopping can be done in town or other surrounding towns like Temple, Harker Heights or Killeen – all within 15-20 minutes. Or, travel 30 minutes south to Belton or 45 minutes north to Waco (where you can visit the Dr. Pepper Museum, or the famous Magnolia Bakery and store).
The cost of living is typically lower than in Georgetown with only 30 minutes between the two cities.
